Job summary

Potelco, Inc. in Sumner, WA invites students to join as Associate Project Manager Internship for Summer 2027. This 8–10 week paid internship gives hands-on experience under project managers across initiation to closing, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

You will learn construction management concepts, review costs, schedules, and progress, and contribute to reports, estimates, and billing, while traveling to job sites as needed and growing with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled student at the time of internship, preferably in a Construction Management program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with common word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management, and email software.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Enthusiasm for learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers to review project costs, schedules, safety, quality, and completion.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of construction progress reports, re-projections, and project-related files.
• Contribute to the development of project estimates, pricing, and schedules.
• Aid in the creation and upkeep of schedules, budgets, and other necessary project documentation.
• Prepare and maintain cash flows, monthly billing, and assist with change order requests for assigned projects.
• Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including management, customers, construction crews, and foremen.
• Monitor and report on project health.
• Prioritize safety in all project activities.
