Potelco, Inc. is excited to offer an 8-10 week Summer 2027 Associate Project Engineer Intern internship in the Pacific Northwest.

You will gain hands-on experience across lifecycle stages, including fielding, drafting and design, tracking, permitting, and reporting for utility construction projects. Join a team focused on safety, innovation, and excellence, with opportunities for professional development and networking.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, project management, and email software.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Engineers to review scope, design, cost, schedule, and completion of engineering projects.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings.
• Study utility standards used in design.
• Aid in development of project estimates, pricing, and permit applications.
• Facilitate communications with customers.
• Support the team with analytical, CAD, and mathematical tasks.
• Prioritize safety as a top priority.
• Invest time at job sites for hands-on knowledge and training.
• Bring potential project-related problems and solutions to the responsible party.
