Job summary

Potelco, Inc. invites applications for a 8-10-week Summer 2027 Associate Project Engineer Intern in Tigard, OR. You will gain hands-on experience across our engineering groups, from transmission to JFN, cable replacement, and OTEP, with a placement aligned to your interests.

During the internship, you’ll collaborate with project engineers, assist in drawings, develop estimates and permits, and support field operations while prioritizing safety and learning.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in engineering degree program (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural).
• Minimum GPA 3.2.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, project management, and email software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Engineers to review scope, design, cost, schedule and completion of engineering projects.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings.
• Study utility standards implemented in design.
• Aid in development of project estimates, pricing, and permit applications.
• Facilitate communications with customers.
• Demonstrate CAD and analytical skills to support projects, under supervision.
