Potelco, Inc. invites students to join as an Associate Project Engineer Intern for an 8-10 week Summer 2027 program in the Pacific Northwest.

You will work with project engineers, assist in drawings, estimates, and permitting, and gain hands-on experience in utility construction projects. The internship emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional development, offering exposure to multiple divisions (Transmission, JFN, Cable Replacement, OTEP) and opportunities to contribute to real projects

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural).
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.2.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, project management and email software.
Willingness to travel to job sites.”

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Project Engineers reviewing scope, design, cost, schedule, and completion of engineering projects.
Assist in preparation of engineering drawings.
Study utility standards used in design.
Assist development of project estimates, pricing, and permit applications.
Facilitate communications with customers.
Utilize CAD and analytical skills to support the team under supervision.
Prioritize safety and participate in job-site activities.
