Job summary

Superior Construction Co. in Jacksonville, FL, invites motivated students to join our Project Engineer Intern program for a 12-week summer, in-person internship.

This role provides hands-on exposure to heavy civil construction project management and learning about project controls. You will support subcontractor coordination, material tracking, document control (submittals, RFIs, change orders), and progress reporting while gaining experience in estimating, scheduling, and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Must be enrolled and taking at least one class in the upcoming semester.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license.
• Knowledge of route surveying and scheduling is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management with subcontractor and supplier coordination.
• Track materials and manage documents (submittals, RFIs, change orders).
• Prepare progress reports and help with estimating and scheduling.
• Learn project controls and reporting processes.
