Job summary

Superior Construction Co. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

This full-time internship provides hands-on experience in coordinating subcontractors, tracking materials, document control, and progress reporting on heavy civil construction projects. You will learn and participate in estimating, scheduling, project controls, and reporting while interacting with clients and managers in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university with at least one class remaining in the current semester.
• Must have valid state driver’s license before employment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned project office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management, document control (submittals, RFIs, and change orders), and progress reporting.
• Learn and perform project management functions of estimating, schedule planning, project controls, and project reporting.
• Understand and learn construction plans and interact with clients, managers, and employees with professionalism.
