Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Plant Support Engineer intern for Summer 2027 to provide technical support for plant systems and programs.

The role interfaces with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to troubleshoot and improve equipment reliability, with an emphasis on cross‑functional collaboration and adherence to standards. Onsite work at Killona, LA is required; travel up to 25% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum current GPA of 2.8.
• Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering is desired.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve plant issues.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance and Operations for troubleshooting equipment, systems, and emergent conditions.
• Develop and issue engineering changes, including design modifications and temporary alterations.
• Provide technical information and guidance related to program bases, performance requirements, compliance status, and industry operating experience.
• Prepare engineering products in accordance with established standards, procedures, and quality expectations.
• Support changes in system and component configuration, design, and associated design basis.
• Maintain required qualifications and complete training necessary for assigned duties.
