Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a Summer Patent Engineer for a ten-week assignment to join the Intellectual Property Department across offices in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Washington, D.C. The role targets grads expected in December 2027 or May/June 2028 with an engineering or CS background.

Salary is $70,200/year, pro-rated for the duration of employment, and benefits are not included for this program.

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking Summer Patent Engineers (a ten-week position) to join the Intellectual Property Department in multiple offices. We are seeking individuals with strong academic backgrounds, excellent written and oral communication skills, and an eagerness to confront new challenges and responsibilities. The position will entail working with Foley's patent agents and attorneys, as well as inventors from innovative companies as they seek patent protection on their latest innovations. This position is for the following Foley offices: Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Washington, D.C.

This position is open to all qualified candidates who will graduate in December of 2027, or May/June of 2028, with an undergraduate degree in Engineering (such as Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer), Computer Science, or a related field.

Foley & Lardner LLP offers a competitive compensation structure applicable to all positions. The salary for this position is $70,200/year, pro-rated based on the duration of employment. This role is not eligible for benefits.
