Job summary

South Dakota Bureau of Human Resources and Administration seeks an Outreach Naturalist Intern for the Summer session with the Department of Game, Fish, Parks. The on-site position will support outreach programs at The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls, serving a wide age range.

Applicants must be enrolled students and have completed at least one year in their program; preference may go to SD residents and students from SD institutions. Position may be filled before closing date.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a part-time or full-time student during application and start of internship.
• Completed at least one year (nine months) of the program by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with outreach programming at events and The Outdoor Campus.
• Serve programs for preschool to adult audiences, covering topics like camping, hunting, fishing, and nature.
• Assist with coordinators' planned programs, help develop future offerings, and meet customer service needs.
