Job summary

Merck invites applications for a 2027 Summer Talent Program internship in the Value & Implementation - Outcomes Research team, focusing on Gastrointestinal malignancies. The role spans up to 12 weeks, offering hands-on experience with real-world data generation, health economic modeling, and reimbursement requirements.

You will support the OR Oncology portfolio, engage in health policy discussions, and collaborate across teams to deliver credible evidence for decision makers and payers.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be enrolled in a masters or PhD program in outcomes research, epidemiology, economics, pharmacy, medicine, health policy, or public health.
• Must have completed at least one year of study by May/June 2027.
• Ability to commit to full-time onsite (or hybrid) for 10–12 weeks starting May/June 2027.
• Experience in quantitative research and analytics and knowledge of statistical techniques.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities within a team.
• Interest or experience in health economics and outcomes research.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and implementation of OR and real-world evidence programs.
• Write, coordinate, and validate study designs, data analysis plans, abstracts and final reports/publications.
• Contribute to the development of outcomes research strategies for cross-functional senior management approval.
