Job summary

Merck's BARDS Epidemiology and RWE Capabilities & Analytics seeks 2027 summer interns for the Future Talent Program, a 10-12 week internship with one or more projects. Interns will perform literature reviews, analyze real-world data, and contribute to protocol development, manuscripts, and visualization tools.

Opportunities exist to present research in internal or external forums and attend team meetings. Locations include Rahway, NJ and other sites; candidates should be enrolled graduate

Qualifications

• Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program and pursuing a relevant advanced degree by May 2027.
• PhD in epidemiology/biostatistics/public health/data science or PharmD with epidemiology training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Summarize background information via targeted literature review.
• Conduct data analysis on real-world health data to understand data quality, disease identification or treatment patterns, and develop prediction models.
• Summarize and interpret study results and contribute to protocol development and manuscript writing.
• Develop and update visualization tools (dashboards, geospatial visuals) of real-world data.
• Support communication of findings to internal or external audiences.
