UnityPoint Health invites nursing students to join the Summer 2027 Student Nurse Internship in Waterloo, IA. This 10‑week, hourly paid program runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 24–40 hours/week and flexible hours.

Custom tracks include Home Care, Hospice, Pediatrics, Infusion, and Care at Home, offering hands‑on experience alongside experienced clinicians. Graduates may be considered for the Nurse Residency Program, committing to a 12‑month full‑time RN role at UnityPoint at Home after

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in ADN/BSN or Accelerated Program (entering 4th year or last 2 terms).
• GPA 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required.
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) required for the Professional Provider.
• Mandatory reporter certification is required.
• Interns must be enrolled in a nursing course during the internship.

Responsabilités

• Build strong professional relationships with clinical team members.
• Gain confidence in performing technical nursing skills.
• Develop clinical judgment and priority setting abilities.

Formation
