Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mining Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 based at our Morrison, CO site. This 10-week paid internship offers hands-on exposure to aggregate operations, data-driven project work, and cross-functional collaboration with geology, engineering, and safety teams.

You will collect data, analyze processes, and gain experience with drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling, culminating in an executive presentation of learnings and contributions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Mine Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology or similar fields.
• Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
• Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
• A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on learning at Aggregate sites and production/maintenance activities.
• Collect and analyze data to support project strategies.
• Gain experience with daily mine operations, including drilling and hauling.
• Learn maintenance and operation of heavy mining equipment.
• Collaborate with geology, engineering, and safety teams.
• Present learnings and contributions to executives at internship end.
