Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Mining Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The program runs for 10 weeks, starting June 1, 2027, at our Canon City site in Colorado. It is paid and offers hands-on experience across operations and safety.

The role emphasizes field work, cross‑functional collaboration with geology and engineering teams, and a final executive presentation of learnings.

Qualifications

• Undergrad in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology or related field.
• Strong academic performance in engineering.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Geographic flexibility to work at multiple sites.
• Team player with proactive approach.
• Based at Canon City, CO; onsite field work.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on learning of operational procedures at aggregate sites.
• Collect and analyze data to support project strategies.
• Gain exposure to daily mine operations (drilling, blasting, loading, hauling).
• Learn maintenance and operation of heavy mining equipment.
• Collaborate with geology, engineering and safety teams.
• Assist in safety protocol implementation and monitoring.
• Present learnings and contributions to executives at internship end.
