Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to help design, assemble, test, and evaluate 3D printers at our Somerville, MA site. You will participate in design reviews and contribute to solving complex engineering and manufacturing challenges.

A portfolio of your engineering work is required. This is a full-time, onsite internship with bi-weekly pay; unlimited 3D prints and on-site lunches are offered.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of previous engineering work/projects required.
• Flexibility for Summer 2027 internship.

Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, test, and evaluate 3D printers.
• Participate in design reviews and help solve engineering and manufacturing problems.
• Polish time management and communication skills as an engineer.
• Build prototype components and assemblies in-house.
• Create CAD parts/assemblies and engineering drawings.
