Job summary

Formlabs is seeking an Embedded Software Intern to design and implement embedded software for our printers. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the user experience, develop features, and test software-hardware integration on Formlabs hardware. Prior experience in 3D printing is welcome but not required.

The role is a Summer Internship (May/June - August) on-site in Somerville, MA, with a full-time schedule and a compensation package based on a bi-weekly pay cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded systems and firmware
• Familiarity with C/C++ and Python
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and distros
• Ability to work in a collaborative, on-site team environment

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software applications from inception to release
• Collaborate with engineers to enhance user experience of Formlabs products
• Write and ship code that makes hardware work, debug and test across components
• Develop and test C++ features and test software-hardware integration on printers
• Learn 3D printing domain without prior experience required
