Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is offering a 12-week Manufacturing Engineering Intern program based in Ramsey, Minnesota. Interns work on challenging operations projects, support day-to-day activities, and participate in a cross-functional case study with mentorship from seasoned engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering with a 3.5+ GPA, and must live near Ramsey for the summer.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, graduation 2028/2029.
• Must reside near Ramsey, MN for the summer internship.
• GPA 3.5+ preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team collaboration.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience with CAD or 3D modeling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a business-critical project with meaningful impact on manufacturing operations.
• Support day-to-day engineering activities and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a cross-functional case study project and present findings.
• Utilize MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and 3D modeling tools to analyze issues and make data-driven recommendations.
• Follow established engineering procedures and standards to deliver high-quality work.
• Support process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Maintain organized project documentation and engineering data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support objectives across manufacturing and operations.
• Attend team meetings and project reviews to share updates.
