Life Fitness / Hammer Strength in Rosemont, IL offers a Mechanical Engineering Intern program designed to provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects. Enrollment in a full-time bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering or related field with expected graduation 2028 or 2029.
Minimum GPA 3.5; strong analytical and communication abilities.
Knowledge of SolidWorks or CAD tools is preferred; eager to learn and contribute.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on a 12-week cross-functional case study and present recommendations to leaders.
Use SolidWorks to develop and modify 3D CAD models and detailed drawings.
Perform FEA, design calculations, and tolerance stack-up analyses under guidance.
Support product development through design, testing, and validation efforts.
Contribute to a high-impact engineering project with measurable results.
Assist with prototype development, documentation, and improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product teams.
