Lifeguard Job Description

The primary responsibility of a Lifeguard is to ensure the safety of patrons at an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities include enforcing pool rules, maintaining proper chemical levels, record keeping, and reporting unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to supervisors.

Being a Seasonal Lifeguard is an ideal summer job! Pool schedules are flexible, accommodating summer vacations. While fun, the role of a Lifeguard is serious because someone's life might depend on you!

Lifeguard Requirements

• Minimum age of 15 by the date of hire or last day of the lifeguard course.
• Availability for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends.
• Availability to work all weekends throughout the summer.
• Professional conduct, attentiveness, and focus.
• Current Nationally Approved Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certificates or the ability to obtain them before the season starts.

Experienced and motivated Lifeguards demonstrating excellent customer service, organizational, and leadership skills may be considered for a Pool Manager position, with increased responsibilities and pay. Discuss this opportunity during your interview.

The season runs from May 25th, 2025, to September 1st, 2025.

Pay rate: $14/hr - $17/hr + Overtime (based on experience). Bonus and incentive opportunities are available! Ask how to qualify for a $250 bonus!
