Job Overview

A Lifeguard's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of patrons at an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities include enforcing pool rules, maintaining water quality, record keeping, and reporting unsafe conditions. This position offers a flexible summer schedule, ideal for teens, students, teachers, retirees, or anyone with summer availability.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 15 by the date of hire or last day of lifeguard course
• Availability for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends
• Availability to work all weekends during summer
• Professional conduct, attentiveness, focus
• Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain before season start

Additional Information

Certification courses are available at this link. Motivated lifeguards may have opportunities for promotion to Pool Manager, with increased responsibilities and pay. The season runs from May 25th to September 1st, 2025. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with overtime, bonuses, and incentives available. Equal employment opportunity policies are in place.
