Job Title: Lifeguard – Falls Church, Virginia

Join High Sierra Pools, Inc. this summer! We are seeking lifeguards, pool managers, and area lifeguards to join our Falls Church team. Our certified lifeguards earn some of the highest rates in the industry.

If you have good swimming skills and want a fun summer job that makes a difference in your community, this is the opportunity for you. We offer flexible summer/seasonal schedules, including full-time, part-time, and weekend-only shifts.

Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the pool daily according to scheduled hours
• Regularly treating the pool with the correct chemicals
• Monitoring activities around the pool to identify safety issues
• Directing swimmers to exit the water in dangerous situations
• Monitoring weather reports to ensure guest safety
• Organizing and supervising pool parties
• Providing swim lessons and coaching swim teams when applicable
• Maintaining a clean pool environment

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certificates
• Minimum age of 16 years
• At least two years of lifeguard experience
• Current ARC certification
• Lifeguarding or Shallow Water lifeguarding certification
• Positive attitude, ready to help others and solve challenges
• Dependability and reliability
• Successful completion of a pre-employment in-water skills test
• Experience coaching swim teams and teaching lessons
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests if required
