Job summary

The Summer Program Extension Grant Paraprofessional assists certified teachers in delivering remedial instruction and enriching activities at a designated district site. This grant-funded role emphasizes small-group intervention, safety, and data compliance to prevent summer learning drop-off.

You will support STREAM modules, differentiate instruction, monitor behavior, and help with daily routines to ensure a productive, engaging summer learning environment for diverse students.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting certified teaching staff during instruction.
• Ability to differentiate reinforcement for varying learning paces.
• Strong attendance and reliability during a short program window.

Responsibilities

• Small-Group Tutoring: reinforce core math and reading lessons with small groups.
• STREAM Facilitation: support hands-on projects in science, tech, reading, engineering, arts, and math.
• Differentiated Assistance: tailor reinforcement to diverse learner needs.
• Positive Climate: maintain an energetic, structured camp environment following the school's framework.
• Routine Management: oversee transitions and snack distribution per guidelines.
• Supervision Safety: monitor students during arrivals, meals, and outdoor activities.
