Job summary

Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Inc. is seeking motivated students or recent graduates for a 12-week summer Land internship in Alabama. The role provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and training, with duties spanning landowner relations, right-of-way activities, regulatory requirements, pipeline projects, and land record management.

Interns work 40 hours/week with paid holidays. A housing stipend may be offered if housing near the work location is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or related field.
• GPA 2.75+ after each completed term.
• Plan to pursue a career in land operations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Land Services team with daily and weekly activities.
• Conduct research and summarize findings related to business operations, compliance requirements, and natural gas pipeline industry developments.
• Assist with reviewing, organizing, and maintaining contracts, legal documents, policies, and other records.
• Support compliance and information governance initiatives to mitigate risk and promote regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and compile information regarding legislative, regulatory, and industry trends impacting the Company.
• Participate in department meetings, shadow professionals, and assist with special projects and assignments.
