Job summary

Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline is offering a 12-week summer internship for students or recent graduates to join the Operations team. The internship provides mentorship, orientation and exposure to daily pipeline operations, including site visits, training, housekeeping, painting, and routine maintenance.

Interns may receive a housing stipend if distance is substantial and may be eligible for full-time employment after completion.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old by the start of the internship and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 after each completed semester/term.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Currently enrolled in a Technical College Program pursuing an associate degree or a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree.
• Planning to pursue a career in Pipeline Operations.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist operations employees to gain understanding of Pipeline Operations and the Pipeline Industry.
• Support one or more experienced operators to meet departmental and corporate objectives.
• Participate in assignments, shadow pipeline operators, and engage in projects supporting larger initiatives.
• Perform site visits, training sessions, IH activities, housekeeping, painting, and routine maintenance.
• Assist in daily operations activities and other projects related to operations.
