Job summary

QTS is offering a summer internship in Ashburn, VA, focused on reporting and analytics within the People Services team. You will learn to gather requirements, understand customer needs, and translate them into data-driven reports and analytics projects.

You'll gain exposure to Workday and Tableau while contributing to real-world reporting initiatives and collaborating with team members across the data center operations and business functions.

Qualifications

• Active pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, HR, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint for presentations, Excel for data analysis).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Understand the reporting and analytics team's operations.
• Gather requirements for a reporting initiative.
• Understand customer needs and how they map to data.
• Establish a framework for how systems work and data flows.
• Contextualize customer needs to available data.
• Collaborate with team to understand the work involved in reporting and analytics.
• Be open to learning about systems/tools (e.g., Workday, Tableau).
• Deliver a report/analytic product during the internship.
