Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Ashburn, VA seeks a Capital Development Strategy Intern to support data-driven research and reporting on capital spend for current and future project portfolios. You will collaborate with Development, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement on strategic capital initiatives, assist with new project requests, and maintain cost projections for greenfield and site builds.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant program.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement on strategic capital initiatives.
• Support new development capital project requests and approvals in monthly senior executive committee meetings.
• Maintain and create cost projections for greenfield construction and incremental site builds.
• Work on equipment procurement and delivery processes.
• Develop new processes and documentation to improve capital project management.
• Apply industry-leading practices to improve overall business performance.
