Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, is offering a paid Project Engineering internship for the summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in the nuclear power industry and contribute to the AP300 and AP1000 projects.

Reporting to the Digital & AI Product Strategy Manager, you will work onsite May through August, supporting design, digitization, and technical documentation across multiple disciplines.

Competenze

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear, chemical, industrial, electrical, or civil engineering.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.
• Interest in project engineering across broad technical disciplines.
• Construction experience/interest.

Mansioni

• Support design and implementation of engineering solutions for AP300 and AP1000.
• Support digitization projects for AP300 and AP1000, including AI enablement.
• Compile technical design information and prepare reports.

About The Role

As a Project Engineering intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in the nuclear power industry and contribute to the development of the latest technology.

You will report to the Digital & AI Product Strategy Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for the AP300 and AP1000 projects
• Support digitization projects for AP300 and AP1000 projects, including AI enablement
• Support the project engineering team in compiling technical design information and preparing reports
• Work with multiple engineering groups to ensure delivery of engineering commitments
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on technical challenges and solutions
• Help prepare engineering deliverables across several technical disciplines
• Help prepare presentations and documentation for construction partners and customers

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear, chemical, industrial, electrical, or civil engineering
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Interest in project engineering across broad technical disciplines
• Construction experience/interest

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
