Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Nuclear Engineering Intern to support design calculations, core design, fuel management, and plant operations at our Cranberry, Warrendale, Blairsville, or New Stanton facilities in Pennsylvania. This paid full-time role runs May through August 2027, with hybrid or onsite arrangements.

• Completed Sophomore year of college

• Participate in nuclear engineering training and seminars
• Support technical report development
• Assist engineering teams with design solutions
• Contribute to project planning and execution efforts

About the role:

As a Nuclear Engineering Intern, you will support engineering activities related to nuclear reactor systems, core design, fuel management, and plant operations. You will gain hands-on experience applying nuclear engineering principles to commercial nuclear projects.

You will report to the department manager and be located at our Cranberry, Warrendale, Blairsville, or New Stanton, PA facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid or onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
