Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Procurement intern to verify quality and technical requirements across project lifecycles. You will report to the Project Procurement Manager and work onsite at the Cranberry facility during the summer (May–August 2027).

The role involves supporting supplier audits, NDA/PIA negotiations, RFQ package creation, and QA oversight. Pursuing a related bachelor’s degree with sophomore standing is required; compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or equivalent.
• Sophomore year completed.
• Interest in procurement, QA, and supplier interactions.

Responsibilities

• Verify quality and technical requirements for projects and deliveries.
• Report to the Project Procurement Manager.
• Support supplier audits and technical evaluations.
• Assist NDA/PIA negotiations and RFQ package creation.
• Participate in design option reviews and cost/schedule estimates.
• Coordinate QA activities and supplier oversight points.
• Assist project support team and QR/QADP archival processes.

About the role:

As a Project Procurement intern, you will verify quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries for Westinghouse - from bid phase and component design through manufacturing and delivery.

You will report to the Project Procurement Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help with Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations
• Support completion of NDA/PIA negotiations
• Help with Request for Quotation (RFQ) package creation
• Schedule and support Supplier Design Proposal / Compliance Matrix review meetings
• Support creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule
• Support coordination of Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points
• Support the project management team to work with Supplier Quality support organizations
• Support Westinghouse Project Support Team Execution
• Support execution of required Supplier QA Witness and Hold Points
• Complete the Westinghouse Quality Release (QR) to support shipment
• Archive the QR and associated Quality Assurance Data Package (QADP) in PRIME

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.), supply chain management, or similar discipline
• Completed Sophomore year of college

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $23.00 to $26.30 per hour.
