Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Supply Chain Engineering intern for the summer. This paid, full-time onsite internship supports APX Supply Chain and nuclear plant equipment projects.

You will work with engineering and procurement teams, analyze data, participate in supplier reviews, and learn nuclear quality and safety requirements. The position runs May–August 2027 and is onsite at the Cranberry facility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (in progress).
• Sophomore year completed and currently enrolled in engineering studies.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and supply chain teams in planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities.
• Help with data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking related to suppliers, projects, schedules, and metrics.
• Participate in supplier management and project review meetings.
• Assist in analyzing technical, quality, operational, or performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support preparation and maintenance of project documentation, reports, and process records.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Supplier Performance, Logistics, and Project Management teams.
• Assist in issue identification, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
• Learn and apply nuclear quality, safety, compliance, and business process requirements.

About the role:

As a Supply Chain Engineering intern, you will support the APX Supply Chain organization in the execution and delivery of AP1000 nuclear plant equipment and components.

You will report to the Delivery Stream Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027

Key Responsibilities:

• Support engineering and supply chain teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities
• Help with data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking related to suppliers, projects, schedules, and operational metrics
• Participate in supplier management and project review meetings
• Help analyze technical, quality, operational, or performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, reports, presentations, and process records
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Supplier Performance, Logistics, and Project Management teams
• Help with issue identification, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement projects
• Learn and apply applicable nuclear quality, safety, compliance, and business process requirements
• Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives supporting APX Supply Chain operations

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Willingness to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
