Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Controls intern for a paid full-time hybrid summer position (May–August 2027) at the Cranberry Township facility. You will assist project engineers and controllers under the Engineered Solutions group, reporting to the Project Controls Long Term Operations Manager.

The role requires a pursuing bachelor’s degree in project management or engineering, completion of sophomore year, familiarity with PMI PMBOK, and basic nuclear power plant knowledge.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.
• Familiar with the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and plan all controls aspects of a project, which includes project baselines
• Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that you reduce inefficiencies, and optimize overall project performance
• Responsible for all aspects of project controls activities including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and earned value assessment
• Close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools
• Cultivate relationships with the team, customer, and other partners (e.g. internal management) to facilitate successful project completion
• Implement improvement opportunities which will add value

About the role:

As a Project Controls intern, you will assist the project engineers and project controllers on the portfolio of projects.

You will report to the Project Controls Long Term Operations - Engineered Solutions Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $23.00 to $26.30 per hour.
