Job summary

Jobtailor in Kansas is seeking a driven Industrial Engineering student to analyze manufacturing operations, optimize layouts, and improve labor and material control in a hands-on plant setting.

You will collaborate across teams, develop operation descriptions, and perform calculations to support studies, while mentoring from supervisors and working full-time 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and graduating Aug 2027–Jun 2029.
  • Able to work full-time (40 hours/week) and in a plant environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections.
  • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements
  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Must be graduating between August 2027 and June 2029
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Must be willing to work in a plant environment

  • Ability to repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach
  • Ability to lift or carry materials up to 15 pounds and periodically up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally sit, climb ladders and lifts, and drive vehicles and equipment
  • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 support
