Job summary

Jordan's Furniture invites applications for an Instructional Design Intern for Summer 2027 based in East Taunton, MA. You will contribute to the Furnish Your Future Internship Program by developing training materials, e-learning content, job aids, and development resources for retail and corporate teams.

You’ll collaborate with SMEs, apply instructional design best practices, and gain hands-on experience with learning technologies while supporting employee learning and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Rising college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning Experience Design, Adult Education, or related field.
• Creative and detail-oriented, with the ability to organize information and present it clearly.
• Experience creating presentations, training materials, digital content, videos, or educational resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bring creativity to design engaging, learner-centered training experiences that support the growth and success of the J-Team.
• Take ownership of a meaningful instructional design project that advances a Learning & Development initiative.
• Support learning objectives, storyboards, content outlines, and design documents guiding development.
• Assist in designing and maintaining instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning materials including videos, guides, and activities.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to complete training needs analyses and translate concepts into content.
• Apply adult learning principles to create solutions that improve knowledge retention and on-the-job performance.
• Gather learner feedback, evaluate training effectiveness, and recommend enhancements.
