Job summary

Jordan's, the leading furniture retailer in New England, invites ambitious students to join the Furnish Your Future HR Internship for Summer 2027 in East Taunton, MA. This 10-week paid program offers hands-on experience across recruiting, onboarding, employee experience, and people analytics in a fast-paced retail HR setting.

You will support the Learning & Development team, participate in candidate screening, interviews, and HR projects, and travel to NE store locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and HR processes.
• Support HR technology, learning & development, leave of absences, benefits, and compensation initiatives.
• Screen resumes, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates to ensure a smooth hiring experience.
• Contribute to talent management, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
• Coordinate employee training workshops and engagement activities.

Through our "Furnish Your Future" Internship Development Program, you'll jump-start your career by learning the ins and outs of an innovative and creative HR department within the retail industry. Your focus will be on gaining experience in key HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, enhancing the employee experience, and analyzing people data. This is a 10-week paid internship, starting June 7th 2027 based in East Taunton, MA, with hybrid work opportunities and travel to retail store locations throughout New England.

What You'll Do:

• Bring your creativity and fresh ideas to help re-imagine the J-Team employee experience.
• Take ownership of a project that will drive key Human Resources initiatives forward.
• Gain hands-on experience across all areas of HR, including recruitment, HR technology, learning and development, leave of absences, benefits, and compensation.
• Play a key role in the recruitment process by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates to ensure a smooth and positive hiring experience.
• Research industry trends and HR best practices, offering insights and recommendations to help Jordan's continue to innovate in talent management, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
• Support the Learning & Development team in coordinating employee training workshops that foster skill development and professional growth.
• Help plan and execute employee engagement activities, events, and recognition programs to enhance workplace morale and strengthen company culture.
• Any other function or responsibility as assigned by the department.

Who You Are:

• A rising college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and candidates.
• A proactive, self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Prior experience in Human Resources or Customer Service is a plus but not required.

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour.
We share our pay rate because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
