Job summary

HarperCollins Publishers invites you to join the People Team as an HR Intern, rotating through recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle, training and development, diversity and inclusion, and HR administration to gain hands-on HR experience. Ideal candidates are pursuing an undergraduate or master’s program in HR, business, or a related field, with a strong interest in books.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in HR, business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in human resources and people operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities: post jobs, manage applications, coordinate interviews.
• Assist onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departing employees.
• Respond to employee inquiries in partnership with the People Team and document intake notes.
• Assist planning and coordination of training programs and track attendance.
• Help coordinate diversity and inclusion initiatives and analyze engagement surveys.
• Maintain employee records, generate reports, and support benefits administration.
