Job summary

Crothall Healthcare Environmental Services Intern at MedStar Franklin Medical Center offers a paid Summer 2027 internship. You will work closely with leaders in Environmental Services, perform tasks ranging from hospital cleanliness to staff training, vendor relations, and patient experience efforts, while building a foundation for a future business operations career.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college/university junior or senior.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral presentations across all levels.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Experience using Windows-based Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Interest in Crothall Healthcare and Accelerated Manager Program after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational standards.
• Participate in department safety and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Respond to concerns and requests with urgency and take corrective action as needed.
• Ensure facility security integrity is maintained at all times.
• Identify and address facility quality assurance concerns; follow-up as required.
• Provide staff orientation and ongoing training; motivate associates to perform at their best.
