Job summary

Crothall Healthcare Environmental Services Intern at Lurie Children’s Hospital is a Summer 2027 internship with a pay range of $21.00 - 23.00 per hour. You will work closely with Environmental Services leaders, gaining hands-on experience in hospital cleanliness, front-line team management, vendor relations, and patient experience initiatives.

The internship focuses on learning objectives such as working in a diverse environment, and exploring opportunities within Environmental Services.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a college/university junior or senior.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional communication.
• Proficiency with Windows-based Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Execute operational standards.
• Participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Respond to concerns with urgency and take corrective action.
• Ensure facility security integrity is maintained.
• Assist in staff orientation and training.
• Support staff development and staff scheduling where needed.
