Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance invites a current junior to join its 2027 Summer Internship in Corporate Finance & Risk - FP&A and Management Reporting in New York. This paid 10-week program offers hands-on exposure to monthly close, forecasting, and strategic analysis alongside senior leaders.

Interns may be considered for the Finance Leadership Development Program after completion; strong collaboration, adaptability, and learning mindset are valued as you rotate across finance functions.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a BS program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk across the organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, provide insights on performance relative to plan and strategic objectives.
• Conduct peer benchmarking and competitive analysis to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
• Support forecasting, annual planning, and rating agency reporting through financial modeling, analysis, and presentation development.
• Learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career.
• Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business.
