Job summary

GHD is seeking Engineering Interns to join our Water team this upcoming summer in Buffalo, NY. You will assist project engineers and managers in planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects for municipal and private clients.

Qualified students are enrolled in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program and should have a solid grounding in engineering fundamentals; AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conducting field investigations and inspections of construction
• Performing engineering studies and making comparative engineering and economic evaluations
• Collecting and compiling data
• Assisting with CADD drawings and developing facilities layouts
• Conducting cost estimates and design calculations
