Job summary

NiSource is offering a 12-week Summer Engineering Internship in Columbus, OH. The intern will assist engineering staff, participate in meaningful projects, and learn through team collaboration with NiSource leaders.

Ideal candidates are ABET-accredited engineering students who have completed at least one year, can work 40 hours weekly, and are prepared to gain diverse experience in electric and gas facility projects while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• Current student in an ABET-accredited four-year engineering program.
• Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study.
• Ability to work 40 hrs/week and reside within 50 miles of Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering staff on projects and learn within a team environment.
• Evaluate, design, estimate, and provide project management support for electric and gas facilities.
• Create job order sketches using AutoCad and perform field measurements.
• Collect and analyze data and assemble data to create job order estimates.
