Job summary

NiSource's Summer Operational Excellence Internship offers hands-on exposure to Power Delivery planning, GIS Environmental work, and transformation projects in a utility setting. You will learn from mentors, complete meaningful tasks, and build professional relationships across NiSource.

The 12-week program starts in May 2027 in Columbus, OH, for students entering their junior or senior year. Eligible candidates reside within 50 miles of Columbus.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in accredited university with a major in GIS, Engineering, Accounting, Operations Management, or Business.
• GPA 3.0+ required.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing the operations work plan for Power Delivery.
• Collect data and prepare reports to monitor programs, budgets, and forecasts.
• Support GIS Environmental activities and continuous improvement projects.
