Job summary

The internship combines office and field work in the mechanical construction industry, offering a $20/hour salary. You will work with Engineering staff to support construction projects, apply classroom knowledge to design-build processes, and collaborate with estimating, design, and Project Management

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 2 years in an accredited Engineering program (Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil, or Electrical).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Mathematical reasoning and attention to detail.
• Ability to work full-time (40+ hours per week) during the 10-week summer program.
• Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals.
• Exposure to both field and office environments for a well-rounded industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering staff to support construction projects.
• Apply classroom training and knowledge to develop an understanding of Mechanical Systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on Design-Build projects to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Assist in managing project documentation and plans.
• Partner with estimating, design, and Project Management teams to gain exposure to the full spectrum of the mechanical construction process.
