Job summary

NiSource's Summer Engineering Intern program in Terre Haute, IN invites undergrad engineers to join a 12-week session starting May 2027. You will assist engineers on electric and gas facility projects, design and estimate tasks, and manage small projects under supervision.

Current student of an ABET-accredited four-year engineering program.
Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study.
Ability to work 40 hrs/week.
Proficiency with PC applications; strong skills with AutoCad and MS Excel & Access.
Proven communication skills.
Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist engineering staff on projects to meet utility facility needs.
Evaluate, design, estimate, and provide project management for electrical and gas facilities.
Create job order sketches using AutoCad.
Perform field measurements and collect data.
Assemble data to create job order estimates.
Work 40 hours per week during the internship.
