Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative invites applications for a STUDENT INTERN - ENGINEERING (PGS) at the Pioneer Generation Station in Williston, ND. The internship runs roughly May 17, 2027 through August 20, 2027 and focuses on engineering document creation, data collection, and support of reliability initiatives.

As a full-time student in an ABET-accredited engineering program, you will gain hands-on experience, support plant engineers, and learn drawing system organization.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (EAC/ABET accredited) program with Sophomore year completed, or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Transcript is required for all student intern positions, your application will NOT be reviewed unless a transcript is attached.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering with plant documentation.
• Assist engineers with technical data research.
• Render technical assistance to plant hourly employees.
• Assist engineering with plant data collection and evaluation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
