Job summary

Nationwide invites talented students to join the E&S Wholesale Underwriting Internship in Scottsdale, AZ from June to August 2027. This 12-week program includes housing and travel assistance for qualified candidates and offers exposure to excess & surplus lines within a Fortune 100 company.

Interns participate in meetings, classroom sessions, and on-the-desk training, applying product knowledge to support stakeholders and drive meaningful business results within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Marketing, Business Management, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Completion of junior year is preferred.
• 3.0 GPA or higher is desired.
• Involvement in student activities and/or some work experience.

Responsibilities

• Participating in department and company meetings.
• Classroom sessions to build skills and knowledge.
• On-the-desk training.
• Using knowledge of products & coverages to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Networking with business partners to understand operations.
• Complete projects with other Underwriting interns to drive business results.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
