Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance offers a 12-week summer internship designed to give students meaningful, real-life work experience. Interns are valued team members, gaining exposure to senior leadership and a fast-paced environment.

The program emphasizes learning through hands-on projects and guidance from experienced underwriters. Interns will assist with pre-qualifying broker accounts, model data timely, and maintain clear status updates throughout underwriting cycles, while participating in speaker

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform within set timeframes to ensure appropriate response time and customer service for broker partners.
• Assist underwriters with pre‑qualifying accounts submitted by broker partners.
• Prepare accounts to be modelled in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and timely status of accounts within systems throughout the underwriting life cycle.
• Attend speaker sessions, training sessions and other program meetings that will contribute to program projects and continued education of E&S Property.
