Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Services, Inc. offers a 12-week summer internship program designed to expose students to meaningful, real-world underwriting and risk management tasks in a collaborative environment.

Interns work closely with senior management, gain hands-on experience, and develop professional skills through structured training sessions and project deliverables within E&S Property. The program emphasizes timely execution and learning across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform within set timeframes to ensure appropriate response time and customer service for broker partners.
• Assist underwriters with pre‑qualifying accounts submitted by broker partners.
• Prepare accounts to be modelled in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and timely status of accounts within systems throughout the underwriting life cycle.
• Attend speaker sessions, training sessions and other program meetings that will contribute to program projects and continued education of E&S Property.
