Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI and Pasadena, CA invites rising juniors and seniors to a 2027 Summer Intern role in Digital Sculpting. You will work with GM Design, Sculpting, and Engineering to build digital models of future vehicle themes, interpret sketches, and present work to leadership.

Requirements include pursuing a degree in Industrial Design or related field, graduation window Dec 2027–May 2029, and a 3D portfolio. The role is onsite with a $6,100 monthly stipend, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Animation, or related field.
• Graduating between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Able to work full-time for the summer (40 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design, Sculpting, and Engineering to create a digital model from sketches.
• Present finished models to Design and Sculpting leadership at midterm and final show.
• Support general sculpting tasks within the studio environment.
