Job summary

The Salvation Army in York, PA is seeking a Day Camp Coordinator for a full-time, seasonal summer program. The role involves helping run the Corps Summer Day Camp, assisting with staffing, programming, and daily operations to provide a safe, engaging experience for children.

You will work with Corps Officers and staff, interact with parents, supervise counselors, and help deliver activities that nurture spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth while reflecting the organization's

Qualifications

• Completed degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in directing similar programs.
• Strong interest in educational development of children.
• Working with a Christian organization we ask for a relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Strong Work Ethic.
• Organizational Skills.
• Flexible
• Basic Technology Skills
• PA Child Protective Services Law background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with running the Corps Summer Camp Program, including staff hiring, orientation and supervision.
• Interact with parents and campers to ensure a safe, engaging experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Support daily operations and uphold the mission of The Salvation Army.
