Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a Day Camp Counselor in Pennsylvania for a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, to provide a safe and engaging environment for children in the Summer Day Camp program. You will lead activities, model respectful behavior, and follow established procedures for child release and program safety.

Qualifications

• Lead children through activities with enthusiasm and assist with presentation of daily program offers: organized activities, theme activities, devotions, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, fun, and caring environment for children enrolled in the Summer Day Camp program.
• Counselors are responsible for leading the group of children in assigned activities and implementing procedures.
• Role model dignity and respect for others at all times.
• Work in a team environment and communicate with Child Care Coordinator daily regarding concerns/issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility; follow daily clean-up lists.
